REGISTRATION FOR 2023-2024 ATHLETICS SEASON

Welcome back to the 2023/24 Little Athletics season at Macquarie Hunter Athletics Club.
Registrations are now open and you can sign up and view important information: Little Athletics NSW
ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
The $50 State Government Active Kids vouchers can be used towards your membership. It is recommended that you apply for your voucher prior to commencing the registrations process so you have the number ready. You can apply for this voucher by CLICKING HERE. The voucher number you receive for each child should be added on the final page before payment. It is recommended that you register your child with the same name that appears on your Medicare Card as this will match the record in the Active Kids Voucher system.
TRIAL MEMBERS
Trial memberships are only available to those who are new to Little Athletics. It is recommended that you don’t use an Active Kids voucher for this as if you do want to continue, the voucher cannot be held as a credit for your full registration. Our trial nights will be the first two comp nights of the season.
REGISTERING MULTIPLE CHILDREN
If you are registering multiple children there will be an option on the first page to selected first, second, third and fourth child. Please only select one type at a time and move through the process for each child individually. Once the process for each child is complete you will be able to add additional children before payment.
AGE GROUPS
If unsure of your child’s age group click here. You won’t however need this information when registering as it will automatically calculate the correct age group when you add their date of birth.
PROOF OF AGE
Proof of age is required for all new members. This may be a birth certificate, passport or health book. You can upload this document during the registration process or bring it along to your Centre on your first day to be sighted.
PARENT DECLARATION AND WORKING WITH CHILDREN DECLARATION
You will also be required to confirm you have read and understand the parent/guardian declaration and provide your Centre with a completed Little Athletics NSW Working With Children declaration.
DUAL MEMBERS WITH ATHLETICS NSW (ANSW)
For Athletes aged U12-U17, you will have the option to select if you would like your child to be a Dual Member with ANSW. The ANSW Dual Membership costs extra this year and entitles you to access to all ANSW competitions including State Championships, the opportunity to qualify for a NSW team to compete at Nationals, and importantly an opportunity to transition into senior athletics. Athletics NSW memberships for the 2023/2024 will be open mid to late September 2023 and you will be sent more information to complete the registration process at this time.

We are registered to receive the active kids voucher ($50 for each child). This is entered during the online rego process. First, get your voucher codes from Service NSW. See their website for more details: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/. The Voucher will not be able to be applied after registration so make sure this is entered during the online process.
PAYMENT
Payment for registration can be made either by credit or debit during online registration.
PARENT OBLIGATIONS
Little Athletics is a volunteer organisation and we require parents/carers to assist with the running of Friday night competitions as much as is possible.
In addition, we need a hand from parents each week to help set up (eg. hurdles), pack up (eg. high jump mats) & occasionally help run a BBQ throughout the season. Members of the committee will still be present to help and provide guidance on what is required (more information will be provided at the registration day).
Macquarie Hunter requires every child to be signed in with their Age Manager at the start of competition and signed out when taken home.
* IMPORTANT: Please be aware that no child should be left on Friday nights to compete on their own. If a child is found to be left without a parent/carer present at the venue, they will be placed with a committee member until either a parent/guardian can be located, or appropriate authorities called to the venue.
Our first competition night for the 2023-2024 Season will be Friday, 9th of September. Friday Competition Nights begin at 5.30 pm with a group warm-up lead by our senior athletes, and competition begins at 6pm.
